Conferința Internațională NETTIES (Networking Entities), organizată de Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara, în colaborare cu International Association for eScience – IAFeS și E3UDRES2 (Alianță de Universități Europene) are ca și scop de a reuni experți internaționali din tăți precum: Austria, SUA, Norvegia, Italia, Germania, Suedia, Finlanda, Portugalia, Lituania, Grecia și România

În 2023, conferința a fost organizață la Timișoara, România, în format hibrid, iar tematica de anul acesta s-a axat pe „Societatea digitală: sinergii între artă, cultură și tehnologii digitale”. Agenta evenimentului a cuprins prezentări susținute de 25 de specialiști de top care au acoperit subiecte de mare relevanță în domeniul tehnologiilor digitale și cel al educației. Participanții care au fost prezenți la conferință, online sau fizic, le-au fost emise Open Badges (Certificate Digitale deschise), acordate de către Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara, prin Centrul ID/IFR și e-Learning (CeL), International Association for eScience – IAFeS și E3UDRES2 (Alianță de Universități Europene).

IAFeS International Conference NETTIES 2023
Digital Culture and Heritage & AugmentedWearEdu Workshops

This badge is awarded to people who presented at the “20th IAFeS International Conference NETTIES” and the Digital Culture and Heritage & AugmentedWearEdu Workshops on 25-26 May 2023, organized jointly by Politehnica University of Timisoara, International Association for eScience – IAFeS, E3UDRES2 European Universities Alliance, with the Theme “Digital Society: Synergies between Arts, Culture and Digital Technologies”, with 27 international speakers and a programme of 8 hours. The conference is part of the Timisoara 2023 European Capital of Culture Programme and the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara project (https://spotlight-timisoara.eu/en/) and brings a diverse category of international speakers, from the areas of education, science, creative industries, heritage and digital culture and partly from the E³UDRES² – European Universities Alliance (https://eudres.eu/) partner universities. To bring value to Timisoara’s digital and cultural ecosystem a seminar was organised dedicated to the Augmented and Virtual Reality and to Wearables supported by the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project Integrating virtual and AUGMENTED reality with WEARable technology into engineering EDUcation (https://augmentedwearedu.uia.no/). Based on the concepts of the Spotlight Heritage Timisoara project and the Timisoara European Capital of Culture 2023 programme, we discussed the way in which digital technologies have stimulated different innovations in education for the creative industries, scientific development in innovative sectors, and the way in which entrepreneurial activities can start from a the junction between different creative instances and practices between, academics, industry, community and artists. The International Association for Science / Internationaler Verein für eScience (IAFeS) operates worldwide, with a focus on international collaboration and the promotion of science, based in Vienna, Austria. The association, which is a non-profit making body promotes the development, education and research in the area of eScience, including Information and communications technology (ICT), telecommunications, e-learning, e-media, e-culture, supports young researchers in these areas, offers an exchange platform for experts and for international co-operation. Every year organizes the International Conference Networking Entities NETTIES and summer schools. https://www.iafes.net/
