#EDENChat on Twitter: Digital applications for culture and creative industries during the pandemic

Dr. Diana Andone (@ diando70) together with EDEN, associate partner of the Digital Culture project (@CultureDigi) hosted a discussion on Twitter on the digital applications used for culture and creative industries, but also the skills needed to consume and develop culture in the digital sphere.

#EDENChat took place on Wednesday, May 27th,after the EDEN - NAP Webinar Improving the digital competences and social inclusion of adults in creative industries - DigiCulture  and focused on digital applications used for culture and the creative industries during the pandemic and beyond, but also the skills needed to consume and develop culture in the digital sphere.

More than 10 participants answered questions such as"What are your favorite digital tools to access culture? ”,„What digital tools related to the creative industries were most useful to you during the pandemic?One topic that aroused interest was the importance of knowledge in the field of data protection tools and open licenses. All respondents agreed on the importance of mastering these skills by those who develop cultural applications or work in the creative industries. In addition, the respondents shared their opinion on the usefulness of the courses developed within the Digital Culture project, on unicampus.ro/digiculture and have expressed their interest in various topics addressed by the courses on the platform.

All 7 questions asked by Diana Andone (@ diando70) aroused interesting reactions among the participants and at the end of the discussion, everyone agreed that creating knowledge and art through mobile applications is part of our lives in these times and gave numerous examples of applications used in this regard.

#EDENChat is an online discussion event on Twitter initiated by Steering Committee of the EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP). It is mediated by members of the NAP community and runs for approximately 1 hour.
