Webinar #onlinetogether - The transfer of engineering education in the online universe in the context of COVID-19

#onlinetogether #impreunaonline #covid19 #webinar

The establishment of the state of emergency has put higher education institutions in the unique situation of providing quick answers to new problems such as ensuring health by introducing protection measures, adjusting all activities within the institution, ensuring the continuity of teaching activities by moving to education online, providing technical resources for the new way of working and emotional support for the entire academic community.

Within the webinar, representatives of the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași presented their experience of ensuring the quality of education that took place in the traditional form and te process of implementing it with great speed to an online education, for many new, or not widely explored. Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași they presented the road traveled, in speed, from the state in which it was pursued ensuring the quality of education which took place in the traditional form, towards an education online type, for many new, or whose valences have been little or narrowly explored.

Prof. univ. Dr. Eng. Neculai Eugen Seghedin, Prof. univ. Dr. Eng. Irina Lungu, Prof.dr. fiz. Irina Radinschi, Ing. Mat. Marius Șutu, and Conf. dr. Ing Florin Pantilimonescu have shared the experience of the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași in adapting education to the online environment, at a fast pace. They presented both the administrative context of the transition from campus to online education, and the practices used by teachers to transmit information to students, both for the theoretical and practical part of the laboratory.
Over 180 participants watched the webinar live and asked dozens of questions to the presenters.

The main message was: The most important component of this period is the human contribution and the connection between people!

Online Together webinars are organized in collaboration with IEEE Romania, the EDEN Association and the Politehnica University of Timișoara.
