Conference on Women in Science in Central and Eastern Europe: on the Impact of Data on Culture and the Creative Industries - Dr. Diana Andone, Director of CeL

Dr. Eng. Diana Andone, the director of the ID / IFR and e-Learning Center of the Polytechnic University was one of the speakers of the event Women in Science in Central and Eastern Europe (WiDS CEE).

The conference took place online on March 8, 2021 and brought to the fore remarkable women from Central and Eastern Europe carrying out activities to promote and use data in science, industry, government, universities and civil society.

Dr. Diana Andone was one of the speakers at the event, with a presentation entitled The impact of data on culture and creative industries  and spoke about the projects in which she is strongly involved, together with the team and partners, including:

  • Jecza Museum
  • Spotlight Heritage Timișoara
  • Digital and Data Timișoara 2023

- projects that are part of the top areas of this century and bring indispensable benefits to innovation.

is an independent virtual event organized for the first time as a regional event by WiDS ambassadors from Hungary, Romania, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which coincided with the annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) event, organized at worldwide by Stanford University - which aims to inspire and educate scientists around the world.

The event was attended by over 60 women from Central and Eastern Europe, who presented the outstanding activities they carry out in the field of data science, industry, government, universities and civil society.

The event was broadcast live on the official website of Women in Data Science CEE.
