Politehnica University of Timisoara, through the ID / IFR and e-Learning Center (CeL) organizes and conducts study programs in the regime of distance learning or part-time education for specializations:
- Informatics, in collaboration with the Faculty of Automation and Computers (graduates in computer science - 3 years of study) - distance learning - 100 seats
- Telecommunication Systems and Technologies, in collaboration with the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies (bachelor's degree - engineers - 4 years of study) - distance learning - 50 seats
- Communication and Public Relations - in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication Sciences (bachelor's degree - 3 years of study) - distance learning - 75 seats
- Machine Construction Technologies - in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanics (bachelor's degree - engineers - 4 years of study) - part-time education - 60 seats
The study programs are accredited by ARACIS and confer the same diploma as in the case of studies in the form of full-time education.
The curriculum, the courses are identical to those in the form of day education, and the tutoring will be carried out by the same teachers who carry out courses in the form of day education.
The subjects in the curriculum for the 3 or 4 year olds are found both in Curriculum section as well as in Brochure ETC..

Telecommunication Systems and Technologies
Graduates of this specialization will become specialists of high performance and competence with a good basic training in the field of electronics and telecommunications, but also trained in related fields, so that they can quickly integrate into the market economy.

Graduates of this specialization will become computer specialists. The computer scientist in training must be able to find complete solutions to the practical problems of data processing and based on the general concepts of computer science and computer science. Communication and public relations
The communication sciences occupy a distinct place in the area of socio-human disciplines, offering solutions for the efficient realization of the connections with the interpersonal, professional, societal environment. In contemporary society, communication has become one of the key notions, along with concepts such as identity, image, relationship, mediation or meaning. A visible consequence of recognizing the importance of communication is the emergence of the profession of communicator (public relations specialist, PR manager or image advisor).
The mission of the program is to train graduates able to work as specialists in communication and public relations for activities specific to the occupation, carried out in institutions, companies, political parties and organizations, non-governmental organizations, etc. These specialists will have skills and abilities in creating and managing the image of organizations, in mediating and negotiating conflicts as well as in producing messages in Romanian and in one (two) languages of international circulation.

Machine Building Technology
The specialization of Machine Building Technology (TCM) defines a profession adapted to the present and future economic evolution, connected to the European and world practice, in which the mechanical engineer, besides the basic technical training of Industrial Engineering, is trained operational skills for the productive sector. general but also for the sphere of services and product promotion.
The professional profile of the TCM engineer offers our graduates diversified possibilities of integration on the labor market in industrial sectors or provision of services such as: production of components, subassemblies or industrial or manufacturing products, for the automotive industry, energy, air transport , naval or railway, industrial equipment, household appliances, measuring and control devices, car mechanics, maintenance and repairs in the mechanical field.
