The first RED user guide during the pandemic, published under the auspices of UNESCO, is available in Romanian

Guidance on Open Educational Practices during School Closures: Utilizing OER under COVID-19 Pandemic in line with UNESCO OER Recommendation is the first guide published under the auspices of UNESCO, designed to support teachers everywhere, with examples of uses of practices and open educational resources (OER / Open Educational Practices, OEP), according to the UNESCO OER Recommendations. Three university students from Timisoara contributed to its writing, including Dr. Diana Andone, director of the UPL eLearning Center.

Under the auspices of UNESCO (Institute for Information Technologies in Education - UNESCO IITE and International Research and Training Center for Rural Education - UNESCO INRULED), coordinated by Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University (SLIBNU) published the guide on May 18th Guidance on Open Educational Practices during School Closures: Utilizing OER under COVID-19 Pandemic in line with UNESCO OER Recommendation, which supports teachers everywhere, with examples of the use of practices and open educational resources (OER), according to the UNESCO OER Recommendations.

It is the first guide to Open Educational Resources (RED) which is published after the launch by UNESCO on 2 May of the Dynamic Coalition for RED (Dynamic Coalition for OER). They contributed to his writing three university students from Timisoara, Dr. Diana Andone, director of the eLearning Center of the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, Prof. Dr. Carmen Holotescu, dean of the Faculty of Engineering and director of the Center for Open Education and Blockchain, within the “Ioan Slavici” University of Timișoara and Prof. Dr. Gabriela Grosseck, West University of Timişoara.

Of the 12 published case studies, which were carefully selected from hundreds of examples from around the world, two are from Romania. In the study in universities is presented the activity carried out by the UPL eLearning Center for the promotion of open education, development of educational resources, development UPT Virtual Campus and the open online MOOC course platform in Romanian UniCampus.
