In these times of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, just like in other countries, face-to-face educational functions and activities are being moved online, using apps, platforms and various tools for distance education.
In the Online together webinars, we respond to these challenges, in the most practical way possible, in the spirit of open education and free access to knowledge. Participants received an Open Badge (Open digital certificate) - Online together.

How did the students from the four major universities from Timisoara get involved at the beginning of the academic year?
What is the perspective of Timisoara students at the beginning of the academic year during the pandemic?
These are just some of the questions answered by students from the Politehnica University of Timișoara, West University of Timisoara, Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, and the Banat's University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Timisoara, in an interactive session with free discussions, dedicated to both students and teachers from the universities of Timisoara and Romania.
Over 150 participants watched the presentation given by student representatives of the four major universities in Timisoara, both on Zoom and on LIVE broadcast channels - YouTube and Facebook, also sharing their experience in comments and asking dozens of questions about online education , but also related to other institutional activities, which are still an important component for the educational sphere, even in the current situation.
The discussion was concentrated on methods for the continuous support of students, new proposals and decisions made regarding academic activities, and efforts aiming at the needs of students and focusing on collaborative work in the context of a good development of activities for all sectors of academic activity in this period.
The presenters' conclusion was that most students can receive online education openly, mostly counting the responsibility, support, involvement, and collaboration of all actors in the educational process, and this period also brings benefits - the use of technology in education and for the future- development-innovation.
Alexandru Constantin Iliescu, Politehnica University of Timișoara
Alexandru Constantin ILIESCU is a student at the Politehnica University of Timișoara, at the Faculty of Automatics and Computers. He is currently the student representative on the Board of Directors and the president of the Students' League of the Faculty of Automation and Computers (AC League).
Bogdan Giurgiu - "Victor Babeș" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara
Bogdan is a sixth year student at the "Victor Babeș" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara - General Medicine specialization. During 2017-2019 he worked as a volunteer in the V.A.D.A. program, as a tutor in the discipline of Anatomy and Embryology - supporting practical work with students of years 1 and 2. He is the head of the series with organizational administrative activities within the series of which he is part. He also works to ensure communication between students and teachers. He obtained the degree of excellence from UMF Timisoara for his activity as a student (11 December 2018). His areas of interest are General Surgery, Urology, Oncology Surgery, Oncology and Pneumology.
Breha Adrian - West University of Timisoara
Breha Adrian is President of the Students' Organization of the West University of Timișoara, being a student at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Philosophy and Communication Sciences in the Digital Media undergraduate study program. Currently, he represents the interests of the students in the Faculty Council and in the UVT Senate.
Online Together webinars are organized in collaboration with IEEE Romania, the EDEN Association and the Politehnica University of Timișoara, every week with guests from other universities and schools in Romania.
