EBSI-NE: Proposal for the deployment of EBSI production nodes and provision of support services to the EBSI network at the European level

INTRODUCTION

The EBSI Node Expansion (EBSI-NE) project is a key part of Europe’s digital evolution, focusing on expanding the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI). This initiative aims to strengthen EBSI by adding 18 new validating nodes, increasing its capacity and robustness. This move is a significant step in improving Europe’s Blockchain technology, boosting its adoption across the continent. EBSI-NE provides specialized support services to all stakeholders, positioning Europe as a leader in Blockchain innovation and contributing to a more connected, secure and technologically advanced environment in Europe.

• 15 half-day seminars organized in the national language by partners from each member state participating in the project

• EBSI's 5W Approach: Who, What, When, Where, Why
• Same scope, different performers and locations for a unified yet unique experience in each seminar

3. Objectives

• Demystifying EBSI: Understanding its uses, benefits and societal opportunities
• Engaging stakeholders at local, regional and national levels in an interactive and informative framework
• Promoting awareness and knowledge exchange on blockchain technology, EBSI and applications/use cases

4. Logistics and accessibility

• Seminars distributed in a timely manner for maximum dissemination – UPT organizer of the first seminar
• Options for live, online or combined formats to increase accessibility

5. Educational benefits

• An opportunity for participants to gain cutting-edge knowledge in the field of blockchain/EBSI technology 
• Issuing open badges/digital certificates (CV) for participants

6. Collaborative effort

• UPT as the main partner coordinating with the other partners the localized seminars
• An EU-wide collaborative event highlighting unity and collective progress

7. Knowledge and resource exchange

• All presentation materials will be created under a Creative Commons (CC) license for wider accessibility and accessible on the project website.
