Digital Credentials for Europe



Objectives:

The DC4EU project will focus on identifying and implementing all necessary measures to facilitate the issuance of educational credentials and professional qualifications in the Education sector, as well as the issuance of the Portable Document A1 (PDA1) and the European Health Insurance Card in the Social Security sector. The European Digital Identity Wallet will be a key element of hybridization for cross-sectoral and cross-border use cases (identity, signature, educational credentials and social security).

 

The DC4EU consortium is made up of 80 organisations from 23 countries (21 EU Member States + Norway and Ukraine). The project is supported by 43 public organisations and 49 private entities, including relevant sectoral institutions, ministries and digitalisation agencies from various Member States, developing a comprehensive governance model and an ambitious dissemination plan, which guarantees relevance and expected impact.
