The mission of the study program
The educational mission
a) Training highly qualified engineers in the field of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, having
in-depth knowledge of electronic circuit design, dedicated systems, microelectronics,
power electronics, robotics, sensors and transducers..
b) Training graduates who have the skills and abilities to design, develop, implement and maintain
electronic systems and equipment, microprocessor and microcontroller based systems,
embedded, software application error correction systems for the most diverse fields.
Mission in terms of scientific research
a) Engaging teaching staff in fundamental, exploratory and applied research in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications, for the purpose of developing knowledge and in accordance with the needs of the academic community;
b) Training graduates capable of participating in research activities in the fields for which they are prepared through undergraduate studies and of improving their skills through master's and doctoral studies, by training them in the completion of research themes and projects, coordinated by the departments involved in the development of study programs.
Study program objectives
a) competitive professional training of university and postgraduate specialists capable of:
Professional skills:
use of fundamental elements relating to devices, circuits, systems, instrumentation and
electronic technology
– applying basic methods for signal acquisition and processing
– applying basic knowledge, concepts and methods regarding the architecture of computer systems,
microprocessors, microcontrollers, programming languages and techniques
– design, implementation and operation of data, voice, video, multimedia services, based on
understanding and applying fundamental concepts in the field of communications and information transmission
selection, installation, configuration and operation of fixed or mobile telecommunications equipment and
equipping a site with common telecommunications networks
– solving specific problems for broadband communication networks: propagation in different environments
transmission, circuits and equipment for high frequencies (microwave and optical)
Transversal skills:
– methodical analysis of problems encountered in the activity, identifying elements for which there are established solutions, thus ensuring the fulfillment of professional tasks
– defining activities in stages and distributing them to subordinates with a complete explanation of duties, depending on hierarchical levels, ensuring efficient exchange of information and interpersonal communication
– adaptation to new technologies, professional and personal development, through continuous training using printed documentation sources, specialized software and electronic resources in Romanian and, at least, in an internationally spoken language
b) training graduates in scientific research and technological development, design, consultancy, technical assistance, expertise, production and others, in the global context of the European Research Area
