Dragoș-Cătălin BARBU is a PhD student at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest, graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at the University of Bucharest and holds a master's degree in Theoretical Informatics from the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, University of Bucharest. He is the Head of the "Cloud Computing" Service and a Grade III Scientific Researcher within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest. Dragoș-Cătălin Barbu has been conducting research in the field of ICT for over 20 years, coordinating national projects in the field of "Cloud Computing", IT security, electronic services, digital libraries, artificial intelligence and augmented reality. He is an alternate member of the representative of Romania in the Management Board of the High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and also the alternate delegate of the organization mandated by Romania in the European Open Science Cloud Association (EOSC-A).

He is the Head of the "Cloud Computing" Department and a Senior Researcher III within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest.  Dragoș-Cătălin Barbu has been carrying out research activity in the ICT field for over 20 years, coordinating national projects in the field of "Cloud Computing", computer security, electronic services, digital libraries, artificial intelligence and augmented reality. He is the Romanian Substitute Representative in the Governing Board of European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) and also the Romanian substitute delegate in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Association.
