Digital education and ID / IFR support Politehnica University of Timisoara offered by the ID / IFR and e-Learning Center UPT
UPT teachers and distance and part-time students, as well as candidates for admission sessions for ID / IFR forms of education benefit from a new automated assistance system.
the ID / IFR and e-Learning Center introduces new academic support tool - Support digital education and ID / IFR UPT – to facilitate and streamline communication with students.
The new system, Support digital education and ID / IFR UPT, is available to teachers, students and candidates online and proposes an automatic answering system to a series of questions asked for each type of scenario frequently encountered, based on the experience of over two decades of distance learning activity in UPT.
The questions are organized into 3 categories, which are divided into the types of problems encountered:
- Academic (support dedicated to ID / IFR students)
- Technical (support dedicated to ID / IFR students)
- Admittance (support dedicated to candidates for admission to ID / IFR specializations)
More complex requests for assistance, as well as questions to which students / candidates do not find an automatic answer within the system, will be assigned to a head of the center, depending on the request to solve the problem. Each user can open a ticket depending on the TOPIC and SUBJECT selected, assigning you a unique ticket number per topic, which you can use to track progress and answers online

Within the support system, there will be complete archives and a history of all requests for assistance.
The implementation of the digital education support system comes in response to the increased online help requirements recently, but also in the context of the current situation, which has accelerated a change that was already being implemented - the transition from education and classical support to its equivalent online.
Given this change, faculties and especially students need to adopt new technologies and techniques. All these requirements led to the development of the new system to help students in the digital age.
