The third day of EDEN 2020 - The last day of the conference dedicated to digital education and artificial intelligence begins with the awarding of the Prize for the best work and the Young Scientist Award. The last day of the conference has presentations for dozens of selected academic papers, 3 workshops and 2 keynote speakers of world size. The events will be followed by a closing ceremony, dedicated to the first fully virtual conference. The event is organized by the Polytechnic University of Timișoara through the ID / IFR and e-Learning Center together with the EDEN International Association.

Best Paper Award Since 2008, EDEN has awarded the Prize for the best scientific work each year, both at the annual EDEN Conferences and at bi-annual Eden research workshops. A high-quality standard selection process guarantees the awarding of distinguished and renowned prizes for the work of academic conferences in the field of open, distance learning and e-learning. The selection process of the 56 conference papers presented took place in collaboration with the Ulrich Bernath Foundation for Research in Open and Distance Learning

EDEN 2020 Award Ceremony for the Young Scientist Award

Young Scientist Award Since 2015, the award has been given to 7 young scientists, the award being launched to recognize the academic quality of the papers presented by young researchers. This year, the participation of 38 young researchers in the annual virtual conference eden 2020 is supported by the tax exemption.

George Dimitrov - Keynote to EDEN 2020 - a presentation of major interest to all actors in education, talking about the main objectives of the action plan of the European Commission for Digital Education, which will reflect the lessons learned from covid-19 and will be adopted in September 2020, being part of the EU Recovery Plan for the next generation.

The 𝐸𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐬𝐬𝐬 Keynote brought a topic of great interest to the fore during the conference EDEN2020, the presentation focusing on artificial intelligence in higher education institutions. Jesus Boticario highlighted the fact that there is a felt demand for the idea of personalized learning and how the entire educational system should be reorganized.

Conference EDEN 2020 is dedicated to the anniversary of 100 years of university education in Timișoara, Politehnica 100, the first 100 years of existence of the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, also celebrating the coherent and innovative development of online education in the university.
