Graduates of this specialization will become computer specialists. The computer scientist in training must be able to find complete solutions to the practical problems of data processing and based on the general concepts of computer science and computer science. For this, they must master, in addition to the theoretical bases of computer science, the possibilities of their practical use. He will need to know and understand a wide range of applications in technology and economics.

The computer scientist finds a wide field of activity in various fields of technology and economics.

Students of the Informatics specialization will benefit from high level training in current fields on the labor market:

programming environments

development and administration of computer systems

network administration

web application development

The degree in computer science offers the possibility to exercise a wide range of occupations in this field, such as: developers and administrators of computer systems, specialists in computer security, program analysts, network administrators, specialists in software quality assurance and testing, administrators of websites, web application developers, computer science teachers.

The study programs are accredited* by ARACIS and confer the same degree as in the case of full-time studies, the distance/part-time bachelor's degree (in accordance with HG607 / 2014).

Computer fees

UPT Senate Resolution No. 16 / 13.02.2025, regarding the amounts of tuition fees for students admitted to the first year, academic year 2025-2026

Starting with the academic year 2022-2023, the tuition fee can be paid exclusively through the platform student.upt.ro.

Steps to follow to pay the tuition fee:

1. Access https://student.upt.ro/

2. Download the study contract and the annex, sign them, scan them and reload them on the platform

3. After checking the scanned contracts by the Faculty Secretariat, the Pay Fee button will be activated

4. Pay the tuition fee in the periods allocated to the payment of fees
