Dr. Chiara Zuanni is a professor of digital museology at the Center for Information Modeling, University of Graz. She has a bachelor's degree in Classics, a master's degree in Archeology from the University of Bologna and a doctorate in Museology from the University of Manchester. He held postdoctoral positions at the University of Liverpool and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, before moving to Austria in 2018. His research focuses on digital practices in museums and digital involvement with cultural heritage. She was a member of the Getty Institute of Antitc Itineraries; local leader of the Erasmus + DigiCulture project and an HFDT-funded project on digital museums and education during the pandemic. She is currently the local leader of a DARIAHTheme project on contemporary collection during the pandemic, local leader of H2020 ReInHeriz and co-leader of the Virtual Gipsmuseum subproject (part of DitaH).

She has a degree in Classics and an MA in Archeology from the University of Bologna and a Ph.D. in Museology from the University of Manchester. She held postdoctoral positions at the University of Liverpool and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, prior to moving to Austria in 2018. Her research focuses on museum digital practices, virtual museums, born-digital heritage, digital audience research. She was a member of the Getty Institute in Ancient Itineraries; local PI of the Erasmus + DigiCulture; and an HFDT-funded project on digital museums and education during the pandemic. She is currently PI of a DARIAHTheme project on contemporary collecting during the pandemic; local PI of the H2020 ReInHerit; and co-I of the Virtual Gipsmuseum subproject (part of DiTAH).
