New courses launched within the E³UDRES² Project Ent-re-novators: Foundations of Open Practices

We are pleased to announce the launch of four new online courses as part of the project E³UDRES² Ent-re-innovators , within the program Foundations of Open Practices – Open Education (OE), Open Access (OA), Open Science (OS) and Open Innovation (OI).

The courses are available free of charge to everyone. students and staff from the universities of the E³UDRES² Alliance.

Online program Foundations of Open Practices (Fundamentals of Open Practices) is open, free, and designed for flexible participation. It consists of four self-paced, unfacilitated courses that learners can complete at their own pace and time:

  • Licensing and Open Licensing
  • Open Education
  • Open Access and Open Science
  • Open Innovation

Each course grants students a certificate of completion. Those who successfully complete all four courses will receive a digital certificate. Foundations of Open Practices Badge , an accreditation that recognizes their knowledge, skills, and commitment to openness, collaboration, and innovation.

A Program for Building Skills for Openness

program Foundations of Open Practices introduces participants to the principles, history, and applications of openness in education, research, and innovation. It provides learners with essential skills for the digital age, including:

  • Understanding licensing and intellectual property.
  • Creating, reusing and sharing Open Educational Resources (OERs).
  • Navigating open access publishing and FAIR data practices.
  • Exploring innovative and collaborative models of open innovation.

By taking these courses, students not only gain knowledge, but also join a broader international movement that is shaping the future of higher education and research.

Licensing and Open Licensing

Explore the fundamentals of copyright, Creative Commons, principles open source and open practices in education and science.

  • Key points:
    • Understanding the principles of copyright and licensing.
    • Applying Creative Commons licenses.
    • Evaluation of the reusability of works.
    • Gaining knowledge about tools and practices open source.
  • Duration: 5 hours of activities at your own pace
  • Certificate: Awarded upon completion of activities and final test

Open Education

Discover how openness is transforming education, from creating and using REDs to exploring MOOCs, artificial intelligence (AI), and open pedagogies.

    • Applying the 5R framework to REDs.
    • Creating and sharing REDs with appropriate licensing.
    • Engaging in open pedagogies and collaborative knowledge construction.
    • Exploring MOOCs and AI in open education.
  • Duration: 24 hours (1 ECTS) of self-paced learning

Open Access and Open Science

Learn to publish, share, and manage research openly and responsibly, while applying the principles of reproducibility and FAIR data.

    • Implementation, transparency and reproducibility in workflows.
    • Developing an Open Science implementation plan.
  • Duration: 15 hours of online learning activities
