Dr. Andreia Inamorato dos Santos, EU Joint Research Center, Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS)
Andreia joined the JRC in September 2013. Her role involves research and support for ICT policies for learning, skills and open educational resources (OER). Her work contributes to finding opportunities and challenges for ICT and the implementation of OER, at the level of policies for innovation and modernization of teaching, learning and training practices in Europe. Her work is currently focused on promoting and adopting openness in higher education institutions and the Member States. Andreia has a PhD in Educational Technologies from the Open University of Great Britain (2011) and a Masters in Research Methods for Educational Technology from the same institution (2003). She also has a master's degree in linguistics and literary studies in English from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (2001). She has worked as an OER researcher for the Open University (2006-2011) and has been involved since then in several OER and ICT related research projects in the UK and abroad. Andreia founded a national report on OER in Brazil, which was published by UNESCO IITE (2011). She has also acted as a consultant for DigiLearn (2011-2013), focusing on raising awareness and continuing professional development on OER and open education for government, private and public higher education institutions, as well as businesses. of high profile from Brazil and Latin America. The ID / IFR and e-Learning Center (CeL) was established in 1998, as an integral part of the Polytechnic University of Timişoara (UPT).
CeL organizes the specializations - Technologies and Systems of Telecommunications, Applied Informatics, Communication and Public Relations in distance education under license cycle and Technology of Machine Constructions in education with reduced frequency of license cycle.
